Jennifer Herne
Administrative and Communications Coordinator
Jennifer is an environmental politics and policy professional with an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph in Geography and Political Science and a master’s degree in International Studies from North Carolina State University. Her areas of specialty are in the field of Global Environmental Politics with an emphasis on policy development, non-profit management and water governance.
Prior to joining the CFRN, she was the Project Manager of the Canadian Rivers Institute, where she worked with the Director on planning, coordination and integration of research projects and was responsible for administrative, communicative and evaluative objectives of the Institute. Jennifer also has more than 8 years of experience as a researcher. She has worked as a research associate with the University of Guelph’s Water Policy and Governance Group, the University of Nebraska’s Public Policy Centre, and most recently with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Air Quality and Planning Standards Division.
