Fundy Baykeeper, Marine Program of the Conservation Council of New Brunswick, is hiring a summer student to work out of our St Andrews office. We invite interested applicants to email [email protected] or call 506-529-8838.
The position is for 8 weeks, beginning late-June and running till late August (dates are somewhat flexible). Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Baykeeper with marine patrols
- Conducting monitoring and clean-ups on the shoreline of the Musquah Estuary – the Bay of Fundy’s only Marine Protected Area
- Helping plan the annual Musquash Paddle
- Promoting Baykeeper at local fairs and markets
- Assisting with research activities.
It’s as fun as it sounds. This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. To apply you must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee status; and
- be legally entitled to work in Canada.
